Over the more than 10 years D4 was being worked on the revolving door at Blizzard basically ensured that the game would be a mess and, frankly, I don't see it getting better any time soon. The person who is currently in charge of D4 (game director or whatever the title is) didn't even work for Blizzard until 2020.
